Vanity Award - Directory Solicitation Scam Reviews

- Manchester, CT, USA • Jan 09, 2026

The scam is a letter explaining you've been recognized as outstanding in your profession and asking to verify your information. You are invited for an interview where they claim to create a website for you in the format of FIRSTNAMELASTNAME.BestInMedicine.com that then redirects you to physicianjournalists.com with a larger URL. It seems like a phishing attempt to confirm personal details. I did not follow up with the interview.

I received a letter in the mail at my place of work entitled Best In Medicine. It stated that i was recognized as one of the Top Physical Therapists in the region. It named my state and gave a website/QR code to scan. I did scan the QR code because I wanted to see if this was a scam or not. After clicking on this, it did mention the city I work in. I did not click on anything after this.
